This Monday, Sport Mediaset reported that Real Madrid and Inter Milan had reached an agreement for the transfer of Lautaro Martinez. It was a shocking rumor, mainly because Madrid are not expected to make signings this transfer window. Just a day later, Lautaro’s agent Beto Yaque has denied the rumors and confirmed that the striker will stay at the Italian club for another season.
“There’s nothing with Real Madrid,” he said when asked about the reports.
Los Blancos are indeed going to stay put this transfer window as they hope to land both Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga next summer.
Lautaro has been on Barcelona’s radar for quite a while and this rumor was probably leaked in order to increase his potential value during the negotiations with the Blaugranas, even if they are no longer expected to sign the Argentinian attacker this summer either. Furthermore, Real Madrid denied the rumors and told the Spanish press that they were not accurate.
