It seems Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid are not just discussing the potential transfer of Sergio Reguilon, but are also exploring opportunities to bring Gareth Bale back to White Hart Lane. According to a report from British outlet, The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur want to re-sign Gareth Bale and would be willing to include Dele Alli in a swap deal.

Real Madrid are desperate to get Gareth Bale off their books. Despite not identifying Dele Alli as a potential transfer target, the offer could appeal to the likes of Florentino Perez, Jose Angel Sanchez, and Zinedine Zidane as a fresh face into the squad who will be on considerably cheaper wages then Gareth Bale. Dele Alli is a 24-year-old who has played primarily as an attacking midfielder and scored 9 goals and contributed with 6 assists last season. Injury and attitude problems have been cited as potential reasons behind Dele’s surprising plateau in development over the last few years.

The swap deal could also include a one year loan for each player, with Real Madrid paying 100% of Dele Alli’s salary and Tottenham only paying 50% of Gareth Bale’s salary.

If the swap deal is not accepted, then a straight loan deal may be agreed with Real Madrid reluctantly paying half of Gareth Bale’s wages. Manchester United are also said to be interested in the Welshman given their pursuit of Jadon Sancho has come up empty handed. Bale has expressed his willingness to leave Real Madrid to find opportunities to play and would be open to a return to the premier league.
