Madridistas called up for the South American World Cup qualifiers

Rodrygo and Casemiro have been called up for Brazil to appear in the World Cup qualifiers to face Bolivia (October 9) and Peru (October 13). Vinicius, MIlitao and Marcelo were left out of the squad and will not link up with the national team for those games. Valverde was called up for international duty with Uruguay, who will face Chile (October 9) and Ecuador (October 13). Brazil manager Tite praised Rodrygo from here to there, complimenting him on his development, versatility, technique and how quickly he has made his mark at Real Madrid this season.

Good news from the sickbay

Odegaard has been training with the squad for the last few days, and now seems to be ready to play a part in the game against Soceidad. Jovic also completed yesterday’s session with the squad, and should be able to play if needed. At the time of writing, the squads have not yet been announced, but it looks like that only Asensio, Isco and Hazard will most likely miss the opener on Sunday evening Spanish time.
