Real Madrid Training: September 2

Updates from Valdebebas

There is not a whole lot to report from today’s training session — the third of the week already — from Real Madrid City.

The main takeaway: Zinedine Zidane has upped the tempo. These preseason training sessions are generally more intense physically than the ones in the regular season, and today, Real Madrid went to another gear with regards to increasing the intensity of the physical exercises. After the fitness drills, the team worked on ball control exercises.

No further squad updates today either. Mariano Diaz continued to train indoors, and the goalkeepers trained separately.
