Luka Jovic wants to leave Real Madrid and is pushing for a return move on loan to Eintracht Frankfurt, according to both El Partidazo Cope and EFE news.

The Serbian striker reportedly told the club last week of his intentions to leave. Jovic is frustrated with Zidane and feels he needs adequate minutes to rediscover his best form. The club, Zidane, and the player are all open to the possibility of Jovic’s departure on loan. After a €60 million transfer in July of 2019, Jovic may well be on his way back to Germany.

Spanish publication, AS, reported last week that Zidane was happy with the attitude and performances of Borja Mayoral in training. The report went as far as to say that Zidane prefers Mayoral over Jovic. If the forward were to leave on loan, it could create an opportunity for both former Castilla graduates, Mayoral and Mariano, to prove their worth as the second choice striker behind Benzema.

Would a loan move be the beginning of the end of Luka Jovic’s Madrid career? The striker and Zidane both admitted in the past that the French manager directly requested Jovic for in his new-look Real Madrid side. Things have not gone to plan and Jovic has not been able to find a way into the team.
