Real Madrid have announced via an official statement that every single player and member of the coaching staff have tested negative for Covid-19, meaning that Odegaard’s first test was a false positive.

This is massive news for Real Madrid, who will have Odegaard —and every non-injured member of the squad— available for Saturday’s match against Betis. Odegaard’s false positive would’ve been a disaster as he is trying to get relevant minutes to prove his worth during this first stretch of the season.
It’s still very likely that Los Blancos will get a positive for Covid-19 on their squad down the road, but as long as they keep testing very often the squad should be fine.
Madrid face Betis on Saturday at 9pm CEST.
