Jose Mourinho On Gareth Bale: “I didn’t speak with Zinedine, but I believe that Zinedine is happy that he left.”

Jose Mourinho, ever a psychologist, spoke with Football Daily about the importance of ‘happiness’ with regards to ‘performance’. Mourinho alluded to Gareth Bale, who needed a change of scenery to rediscover his form. Mourinho also expressed that he is confident that Bale, with constant coordination with the medical and sports science team, will get back the level he needs to be at.

When asked about Bale’s transfer, Mourinho said: “I didn’t speak with Zinedine, but I believe that Zinedine is happy that he left.”

“We are happy that he is here,” Mourinho continued. “Gareth of course is happy to be here. So hopefully in the end of the season, we are all happy, and he can stay with us.”
