A new generation at Castilla

Raul gave Theo Zidane and Lucas Canizares their Castilla debuts earlier this week. Theo is the son of, yes, you guessed it, Zinedine Zidane and Lucas is the son of former Valencia and Real Madrid goalkeeper Santiago Canizares, so there might be a new generation on the way. Theo Zidane actually scored on his debut, and will most likely play some part for Rauls Castilla-side this season. Although Lucas Canizares most likely will mainly feature for the Juvenil A-side.

Real Madrid squad don’t want more signings

In a report by Marca, it seems that the current squad does not think more signings are needed. The report states that the squad think they have the quality needed to fight for titles, and also don’t think it is a good idea to make new signings after the squad has agreed to lower their wages. Time will tell if the reasoning of the squad is the correct one, but it truly seems there will be no signings this summer.

Robert Husby wrote about an interview with Mourinho, where the ex-Real coach said that the loss against Bayern in the 2012 champions league semi-final is the toughest of his career.
