Jovic called up for national duty amidst uncertainty about his future at Real Madrid.
Luka Jovic was called up by Serbia for nations league-qualifiers against Norway, Hungary and Turkey. According to AS he might be doing it from a new club, as the club apparently wants him to go out on loan to get his form back. According to the same report, Zidane is the one who advised Jovic to take the loan to get him back on track. Time will tell if this is true, but there have been quite a lot of rumors in the last few days about the subject.
Penny pinching
Marca had an interesting article where they outlined the spending of Spanish clubs this summer. Not so surprising was to read that Real Madrids spending is stuck at zero. However, Real is not the only primera-team that has been looking to their finances. Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, Valencia, Alaves and Betis are also teams that have not spent any money this summer. The fact is that Barcelonas B-team have actually spent more than the aforementioned clubs, paying a total of 13 million for players. The top-3 spenders in Spain this summer are Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.
Mbappe in 2021? Perhaps, but for how much?
According to L’Equipe, there is a chance that if Mbappe does not renew, Real Madrid could get him for about 100 mil next summer. However if he renews, he would cost almost 300 mil. Personally, I think that if he renews, we won’t be able to get him any way. Do you think the 100 mil next summer is possible in this market? Even if he only has a year left on his contract?
