Mendy admitting he was “afraid” before move to Real Madrid

The Frenchman admitted in an interview to Goal that the move to Real Madrid initially had him afraid. He said that it is complicated to arrive at Real Madrid, but he has adapted and is now happy he made the move to the Los Blancos. Mendy also commented on the relationships with Zidane and Marcelo, with him admitting that it was extremely flattering to learn that Zizou wanted to bring him to Madrid. Regarding Marcelo, Mendy told that there is no “bad blood” between the two leftbacks, and that Marcelo has given him advice and helped him improving and becoming a part of the team.

Brahim Diaz scores in win against Crotone, while his future might be in Italy

The Spanish forward on loan at Milan scored in the on Sunday. This before Di Marzio said that Milan and Real will try to find a deal regarding Brahims permanent switch to the Rossoneri, with Real having a buyback-option. The timing feels a bit odd, as the window is still open and the seasons have barely started. If this would have been the plan all along, why was it not decided now? There are of course many possible explanations to this, but it still is a bit odd. What’s your take on this?
