Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon has received interest from Manchester United, according to a report from AS. The Red Devils want to upgrade the left-back spot and Reguilon would be a huge addition to their squad, quite possibly being ahead of both Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams in the rotation.

Reguilon played for Sevilla during the 2019-2020 season and became a key piece for coach Julen Lopetegui as the Andalusian side clinched their presence in the next edition of the Champions League while conquering the Europa League.

Sevilla are also interested in extending Reguilon’s loan deal for another season, but Madrid seem to be considering a potential €25 million deal with Manchester United which would include an option for Los Blancos to bring back Reguilon in the future.

The young left-back talked to Radio MARCA about his future and said the following:

“Real Madrid is home to me, obviously, but it’s not easy. I consider every factor,” he said.

Marcelo’s contract expires in 2022 and Mendy is Zidane’s starter for the left-back spot, so Madrid are planning their next two seasons without having Reguilon in mind. That could change in two years time, so having an option to buy Reguilon back would be very interesting for Los Blancos.
