Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who completed his loan move to Arsenal this Friday, has talked to the official website of the London-based club and shared his thoughts on why he believes this will be a good move for him.

“I’m happy to be back at Arsenal, I’m so happy about returning to a club where I feel important. I feel proud about the fact that the club, the coach and most importantly the fans wanted me to stay. I didn’t doubt a single second. We were negotiating my contract for a long time until Friday, but I’m so happy about being here again and I will be an Arsenal player for another season,” said Ceballos, who wasn’t going to have a relevant role for Real Madrid.

Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta was one of the main reasons why Ceballos made his return to the London club, said the midfielder.

“It’s true that I had other options like staying with Real Madrid or staying in La Liga, where other clubs had interest. I talked to coach Arteta last season before the FA Cup Final and told him that I wanted to stay and win titles. I’m so happy about what Mikel has built since he came in and I had a very good time here last season,” he said.

Ceballos will have the opportunity to be a key starter for Arsenal in the 2020-2021 campaign and if he keeps performing at a high level his odds of becoming a Real Madrid player for the 2021-2022 season will increase.
