Real Madrid weren’t happy with how their game against Osasuna unfolded. La Liga forced Los Blancos to make the trip to Pamplona on Friday because they thought that it would be impossible to do so on Saturday, and in the end Madrid had to wait for four hours inside their plane before they could take off.

Madrid drew the match 0-0 and Zidane and the rest of the squad commented on the whole situation. Courtois said that the players “are not puppets” and Zidane suggested that the game shouldn’t have been played.

Today, La Liga president Javier Tebas was asked about the matter and he hit back at those comments.

“Real Madrid’s version of the story bothered me. I talked to their CEO 14 different times on Friday night and suggested him to travel on Saturday and he just told me ‘no’. I will call Florentino Perez because I’m not happy with what happened behind the scenes,” said Tebas.

Then, he also talked about Zidane’s post-game press conference.

“I don’t know the kind of information Zidane had. I’ve seen so many excuses from coaches that this must be just another excuse,” he concluded.
