David Alaba’s father, George, has denied any claims that his son made an official agreement to move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid during an interview with Sport1 on Jan. 19.

Earlier this week, MARCA reported that the centre-back struck a deal to move to the Spanish capital on a free transfer in the summer.

“No decision has been made yet and David hasn’t signed with Real either,” said George.

“Besides Real, there are other clubs that are interested in him.”

The senior Alaba then added that Barcelona are another club interested in signing the Austrian.

“What still counts for David is that he wants to concentrate fully on Bayern and on his performances.”

“Why Barca are still in the race? Zahavi [Alaba’s agent] wants to see whether his friend Laporta is elected president on 24th January.”

So far this season, the 28-year-old has made 22 appearances with one goal and one assist to his name.
