Eduardo Camavinga’s agent Jonathan Barnett has talked about the future of the young midfielder, who could be on his way out of Stade Rennais this next summer. Real Madrid appear to be leading the race to sign the talented wonder kid and Barnett was asked about those rumors in an interview with L’Equipe.
“Eduardo and myself have developed a nice relationship and we will work very closely with his family to ahieve what’s best for him. That’s the most important thing,” said Barnett first. Then, when asked about Madrid, Barnett was clear.
“We have an excellent relationship with Real Madrid,” he added, suggesting that there are no issues between Real’s board and Barnett after the past two summers, when Los Blancos tried to get rid of Gareth Bale’s —Barnett’s main client— contract.
Camavinga has been a bit of a disappointment so far this season, but his age and his potential still make him a very intriguing talent for many clubs in European football. His contract with Stade Rennais expires in 2022, so this next summer could be decisive for his future as the French club will likely try to sell him now in order to avoid losing the midfielder as a free agent.
