❌La atacante andaluza tiene problemas en el abductor y se une a otras bajas sensibles como Asllani o Cardona.
✅Ivana, que dio el susto ante la Real, sí que está disponible.https://t.co/hcYBZx3f3m
Esther was in contention for the Pichichi until the final day of last season and is considered one of the team’s leading offensive figures — even if she has yet to get going — especially with Marta Cardona and Kosovare Asllani out for the long term.
Mayca Jiménez also reports that Aurélie Kaci and Teresa Abelleira remain doubts, leaving Madrid with only two central midfielders in Maite Oroz and Claudia Zornoza for the moment.
The good news is that Ivana Andrés is fit to play based on the same reporting. She came off at halftime vs. Real Sociedad on Wednesday, causing quite the scare for Madridistas. Although Las Blancas’ depth in central defense is strong, there’s no replacing the captain of this team and one of the best defenders in Europe.
Real Madrid will likely have to continue to manage a rotation of injuries throughout the season given depth issues, the physical stress of the Champions League, and the Copa de la Reina that is yet to come.
