Real Madrid defender Eder Militao is on his way to the Spanish capital after suffering a hamstring injury with the Brazilian national team, an injury which was confirmed on the tests he received in Brazil. As of now, Militao is doubtful for El Clásico against Barcelona and almost certainly out of Madrid's visit to face Shakhtar.
Militao's absence would be devastating for Madrid, given that Nacho has been underwhelming so far this season and that he would be forced to start alongside Alaba when Los Blancos visit Barcelona. If that happens, Ancelotti will need to trust either Miguel Gutiérrez or the recently recovered Mendy and for the left-back spot.
Militao's injury doesn't appear to be too serious but the timing of it is extremely complicated for Real Madrid, given that their next two away games against Shakhtar and Barcelona are crucial.
Los Blancos need to bounce back from their last three results and doing so without the Brazilian center-back won't be easy.
