Real Madrid defender Eder Militao has trained with the rest of the squad today and will be ready to play when Los Blancos visit Ukraine to face Shakhtar next week. Militao came back to the Spanish capital with a small physical problem he picked up with Brazil but ultimately he escaped a serious injury.

This is great news for Madrid, who are lucky enough given that both Alaba and Militao were questionable for both the matches against Shakhtar and El Clasico just a few days ago. Real Madrid are quite desperate and need to improve their recent defensive performances, so having their two starting defenders available will be a good asset.

Things are not looking that bright for Dani Carvajal. The Spanish right-back was hoping to be ready for El Clásico but right now he should only be considered questionable, as he hasn't trained with the squad yet and will need a few training sessions and possibly also some minutes against Shakhtar before he can feature in the starting lineup. If he can't make it in time, expect Nacho to play on the right side of the defensive line.
