World Cup every 2 years.

According to El Larguero, FIFA told all National Teams that they’re planning to hold World Cup every 2 years starting 2026.

Per ESPN report, the study for making this happens is being done by former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. One of FIFA’s objects is to make the international football more important. Wenger thinks that more world cups will boost all aspects of football, because one of his idea is to have fewer international breaks during the season. In addition, there will groups of 4 nations playing just six qualifying games, which it will make things more exciting. Wenger also proposes a 25 days of rest for the players after the international tournaments.

What do you think?

Should the world cup be held every 2 years?
