Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior completed an impressive performance during the team’s 0-5 win against Shakhtar Donetsk. Los Blancos bounced back from their last three disappointing results and did so in convincing fashion, with all three attackers making an impact. Vinicius scored a brace and has now found the back of the net seven times so far this season.

“I’m pleased to have made a strong start to the season, I want to now keep it up and score a lot of goals to help the team. I always try that move in training and it always comes off and I’m so pleased that I pulled it off tonight and that I was able to score,” said the Brazilian attacker.

Vinicius was asked about his mistakes in front of goal during his first few seasons in the Spanish capital and delivered his thoughts.

“I’m 21 years old and still working hard, I’ve got plenty of time to develop and become a great player. Making mistakes is part of the process and I’ll keep trying. I always perform well under pressure, I like these situations, playing for the best team in the world and with these fans. The coaching staff and the players fill me with confidence,” he added.

Real Madrid will visit Barcelona in El Clasico next Sunday but Vinicius wants to take things one step at a time and knows that the players now need to rest and digest this great win.

“These are the games we like to play in. We’re focused, concentrating on the big performance we’re going to put in, but before then we’re going to rest and enjoy this win,” concluded the attacker.
