Real Madrid visit Barcelona’s Camp Nou to play the first El Clasico of the 2021-2022 season. The two teams appear to be heading in opposite directions given Barça’s recent struggles but reality shows that Koeman’s side are just two points behind Madrid in the table, so they are still very well in contention for La Liga.
Los Blancos managed to gain a lot of confidence and momentum with their encouraging 0-5 win against Shakhtar last Tuesday, so they will be looking to keep that form going tonight. Barça will provide a different kind of challenge for Madrid’s defensive line, though. It hasn’t been easy for Madrid to keep clean sheets so far this season but luckily enough Ferland Mendy’s return to the lineup will definitely help.
On the other hand, Benzema and Vinicius have been one of the best scoring duos in European football and Barcelona have also shown some struggles of their own defensively, so Ancelotti will be hoping to see his two attacking players complete yet another brilliant performance tonight.
Do not miss El Clasico!
