Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde sprained his knee ligament during Sunday’s El Clasico against FC Barcelona, an injury which ultimately forced him to leave the game even though he had come off the bench just a few minutes before suffering that injury.

Valverde’s injury isn’t very serious but he will still need to spend some days recovering before he can help the team on the pitch. He will almost certainly miss Real Madrid’s next two games against Osasuna and Elche but coach Carlo Ancelotti will likely be cautious and allow him to spend some more time recovering.

Without Fede, Eduardo Camavinga will be the first midfielder off the bench for Los Blancos. This is an important matter given that veteran players like Modric, Kroos or Casemiro could need some rest after the intense battle at the Camp Nou. All things considered, Camavinga will likely get a chance to feature in the starting lineup very soon.
