La Liga have published an announcement where they announce that they have denounced racist insults from a FC Barcelona fan against Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior during Sunday’s El Clasico.

Here’s the statement by LaLiga:
“Given the events that occurred during the game at the Camp Nou on Sunday, in which a home fan abused Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr with racist insults, LaLiga will proceed to report said events to the prosecutor’s office of Barcelona.”

The Spanish competition did the same when Athletic Bilbao attacker Iñaki Williams suffered racist abuse during an away game played against Espanyol.

There’s video evidence of the fan insulting Vinicius Junior late in the second half, as Spanish TV show El Dia Despues and also Deportes Cuatro played the video footage on Monday.

La Liga added on their official announcement that they will cooperate in the case with the local authorities in an attempt to fight racism.
