Napoli defender Koulibaly names Real Madrid as one team to join if he ever leaves Napoli

The Senegalese international was asked about ever joining Juventus

UEFA Champions League”SSC Napoli v Real Madrid”

Napoli center back Kalidou Koulibaly named Real Madrid as one of three teams he would leave in an interview with Radio Goal. The 30-year-old was asked about the possibility of ever leaving Napoli to join Juventus.

“Me at Juventus? Are you crazy?! I would never go and play for another Italian club.”

“If I decided to leave Napoli, I would only do it for two, maximum three clubs in the world. I’m talking about Guardiola’s Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona at the most.”

“But believe me: I would never go to Juventus: I could not betray the Napoli fans’. From these words, you can understand the value of the man Koulibaly.”

Koulibaly has been with Napoli since joining from Belgian Pro League club Genk in 2014. Since then he has been regarded as one of the top defenders in the world. He also captains the Senegalese national team.

Given his age and clear loyalty its doubtful he ever leaves Napoli while he is still playing at or near a top level. It’s unlikely we’d ever see him in Madrid but he would certainly be a welcome addition to any team’s backline.
