Yesterday, Kylian Mbappe dropped some quotes in RMC Sport and L’Equipe, which revealed his true feelings about his relationship with PSG, what upset him with his current club, and his clear desire to leave.

Today, Florentino Perez unpacked that even further, by appearing in an interview with El Debate. In the interview, Florention spoke about the Mbappe situation, the new Santiago Bernabeu stadium, and more.

“In January we will have news from Mbappé,” Florentino Perez said. “We hope that on January 1 everything can be solved,”

Later, Florentino made it a point to clarify what he meant by saying that, clearly careful not to anger PSG.

“My words were misinterpreted,” Perez explained. “What I said is that we have to wait until next year to find out, always with respect to PSG with whom we have good relations,”

Perez also spoke about the Santiago Bernabeu renovation project, and also the financial situation of the club.

“It will be a meeting point for the entire city of Madrid,” Perez said of the stadium. There is no equal stadium that is in the center of a big city like ours is,”

It will probably take about three years for us to return to the figures we entered before the pandemic. “

“900 million to just over 600 million. It will probably take about three years. so that we can go back to the figures we were entering before the pandemic.“
