It’s official. LaLiga have decided to postpone the match between Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao —which was initially scheduled to be the team’s next game right after the FIFA break—, because Militao, Valverde and Vinicius will be playing for their countries on October 15th, just one day before LaLiga’s Matchday 9 kicks off. No new date has been set for Athletic’s visit to the Santiago Bernabeu, so LaLiga will have to find a day which suits both teams.

This means that Real Madrid’s next game will be played on October 19th against Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, which will also be the team’s last game ahead of El Clasico against Barcelona.

Real Madrid’s will need to bounce back from their last three disappointing performances and will have to do so away from the Bernabeu in what will be two intense and tough games, even if both Shakhtar and Barcelona have struggled so far this season.
