Yeesh! What a game

Did you catch yesterday’s game between Belgium and France? I know many of you didn’t cause you were commenting about it on the previous thread. Great game folks! In the first half Belgium seemed to be dominating and got a 2-0 lead, while the second half was the exact opposite and in the end, France turned it on it’s head. Also... Man, Benz is something else.

Karim Benzema scored the first of France’s goals and was ever present in their attacking sequences. Long may his red-hot form continue!

Thursday’s Training Session

A New Takeover

You’ve been talking about it for a couple days already, but I thought it appropriate to add to the thread’s news nonetheless. A consortium of Public Investment Fund (PIF), PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media have taken over Newcastle United, one of England’s historic clubs (yes, it objectively is such). Muhammad bin Salman (A.K.A. MBS) has been the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia since 2017 and is chairman of the aforementioned PIF. I’m fairly sure you can hazard a guess regarding his financial status. This takeover has drawn reactions like the following, by PL legend Alan Shearer;

While Shearer’s reaction may sum up their fans’ feelings, it goes without saying that the sentiment is not shared by most of the world. So, Madristas, what’s your take on this most recent takeover? How do you think if affects the EPL and in turn, the rest of the big leagues?
