A sigh of relief in the last hour, as tests coming back after Belgium’s 2 - 3 loss to France in the UEFA Nation’s League semi-finals — where Eden Hazard ended walking off injured after 75 minutes — revealed that the Belgian has no significant injury, and is simply suffering from a ‘muscle overload’.

The Belgian Federation confirmed it this afternoon: Hazard has not suffered a new injury, and should be back in time for Real Madrid’s game against Shakhtar Donetsk without much issue.

Injuries are always bad, it goes without saying. In Hazard’s case, it would’ve been another damage to his momentum. He’s had a good season for both club and country, and needs to get back to 100% health. Real Madrid can really use his offense on a consistent basis.

Managing Madrid’s Jose Perez provided an excellent break down of his performance vs France yesterday, which can be found here.
