MARCA handed out their individual awards for Spanish women’s football today, holding a gala to commemorate the event.
Misa Rodríguez took the Zamora award for her shot-stopping performances and goals against ratio, which stood at 0.9 (30 in 32 matches) last season.
Meanwhile, Marta Cardona was named the revelation of 2020/21. This one is slightly controversial, if only because Cardona was already a quality player at Real Sociedad. However, she did make a sizable leap in regards to end-product with Real Madrid, scoring 14 goals and dishing out 8 assists to produce what was one of the most impressive non-Barcelona campaigns in Primera Iberdrola.
