Gareth Bale trained with the team today for most of Real Madrid’s session as he looks to return against Rayo Vallecano before travelling with Wales during the international break.
It’s not clear the Welshman will get any minutes on Saturday against Rayo, but given that Rodrygo Goes is injured, Marco Asensio isn’t in form, and Lucas Vazquez is the only right winger left, it’s not inconceivable Bale could come off the bench in the second half.
Though we certainly wouldn’t put money on it. Bale completed only part of today’s training session with the team, as he also focused on individual exercise.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti divided the group into two: Those who played heavy minutes against Shakhtar did recovery work in the gym, while others were on the pitch.
Dani Ceballos trained both inside and outside as he continues inching to a return on the field; while Fede Valverde, Rodrygo, and Mariano Diaz worked exclusively inside the Valdebebas facilities.
