UE Costa Brava vs Real Madrid Castilla match preview

Castilla will look to get off the mark away from home this season as they visit 18th place Costa Brava on Saturday.

So far the reserves are yet to win a game on the road having lost all five of their away matches so far. Fortunately, they were able to break a five match winless streak in the league with a comeback victory over Villarreal B last time out and now visit the side with the third worst home record in Group 2.

Costa Brava have managed just a single win so far this season and that was eight weeks ago. Since then, they’ve played six matches and have just a single point to show for it with a couple of bruising beatings in between. Castilla haven’t been much better across the same timespan, a fact that might boost some team morale for Saturday’s host. However, that Raul’s team have managed to score over twice as many goals than the Catalan side so far this season might just give Castilla a slight edge in this tie.

They will be without Miguel Gutierrez, Antonio Blanco and Toni Fuidas as all three were selected for first team duty. Juan Latasa trained with the senior side this week, but missed out on team selection so should be fully available to Raul. There is no new injury news for the team and its likely we will see a similar team to the one that lined out against Villarreal B last weekend.

This will be the first competitive meeting between these two sides and will be available to select viewers with a Footters subscription.
