Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has shared his thoughts about Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard, as is always the case during FIFA breaks. Hazard has been healthy for the last few weeks but hasn’t been getting minutes, given that Vinicius has performed at a high level so far this season. Vinicius is the undisputed starter at this point and Hazard will have to wait for his opportunity.

“It’s an unusual situation, we didn’t expect it to happen but that’s football. I saw that he’s healthy and well from a medical point of view. He’s in good form, we have a good relationship with Real Madrid. We know he’s putting extra work to stay in the best form, he wants to do everything he can to reach his best level,” said Martinez.

However, it won’t be easy for Hazard to get the minutes he wants unless Ancelotti is forced to rotate Vinicius. The Italian coach has said many times that the team will keep playing with a 4-3-3 formation and Hazard’s only chance to play with that system is on the spot on the left wing.

Martinez said that his coaching staff isn’t worried yet.

“This FIFA break gives him a nice opportunity to play, this is not an ideal situation but we won’t worry until he stops enjoying football, which hasn’t happened at the moment. I think he can end the season strong,” concluded Martinez.
