Real Madrid have published a medical report on Marcelo, who suffered a calf injury during Tuesday’s match against Getafe.
Following tests carried out today on our player Marcelo by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscular injury to his left soleus. His recovery will continue to be assessed.

Marcelo will miss around three weeks with this calf injury, which is unfortunate after he completed his best performance in quite a while last night. The defender had to leave the game during the second half as he felt pain on his calf.
Marcelo played in the midfield and Toni Kroos won’t be suspended for Sunday’s match against Valencia. Furthermore, Fede Valverde should be back with the team fairly soon, so Marcelo’s injury will likely force him to lose a good chance of proving that he can still be a valuable asset even if only as a midfielder.
