Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard trained by himself, doing some light jogging during Friday’s session at Valdebebas. Reports from both MARCA and AS indicate that his recovery from the thigh injury he suffered last week is going better than expected and that he could even feature in the upcoming Madrid Derby against Atletico de Madrid, which will be played on March 7th.
While Hazard seems to be on the right path, assuming that he will be 100% ready when Los Blancos take on their city neighbors might be too much, given his recent history with muscle injuries. Coach Zinedine Zidane and his coaching staff will almost certainly take it easy with Hazard’s recovery, so unless he can play some minutes before the Derby to improve his conditioning and form, his potential presence in the match seems a bit premature.
However, coach Zidane said during his last press conference that Hazard is going to miss “two or three weeks,” so he might as well make it in time for that crucial match against Atletico.
