Real Madrid announced this Tuesday that president Florentino Perez has tested positive for Covid-19.
Real Madrid C. F. would like to inform that our president Florentino Pérez has tested positive in the COVID-19 tests that he periodically undergoes, although he is not showing any symptoms.

The fact that Perez hasn’t shown any symptoms so far is encouraging, giving that he’s 73 years old and therefore he’s even more vulnerable to Covid-19 than younger people. The president hasn’t been in contact with the squad for the last few weeks but he was watching the match against Levante from his seat at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.
Team coach Zinedine Zidane and defender Nacho Fernandez are also isolated after testing positive in recent weeks, so Covid-19 is hitting Real Madrid right now.
Perez will be in quarantine the next few weeks as a medical team takes care of his illness if he ends up showing symptoms.
Nothing breaking, but just to reaffirm the positive side of things, a close friend of Florentino told me today that he is fine and without symptoms. Should recover routinely. There was always concern with him given his age, so nice to hear and wanted to share.
