Rodrygo, Fede Valverde, Alvaro Odriozola and Marcelo were able to complete Saturday’s training session with the rest of the squad and should be ready to face Real Sociedad on Monday.
While Odriozola and Marcelo will be expected to be reserves for the rest of the season, the return of Valverde and Rodrygo is great news for Zidane and his coaching staff.
Marco Asensio has been disappointing lately, so Rodrygo could be an interesting option to have if the Spanish winger keeps wasting his chances to make an impact as a starter. On the other hand, it’s been a while since Casemiro, Kroos or Modric got some kind of rest, so Valverde’s presence will allow Zidane to make some rotations ahead of the crucial Madrid Derby against Atletico de Madrid, which will be played next weekend.
Real Madrid will publish the squad list for Monday’s game right after Zidane’s pre-match press conference, scheduled for Sunday.
