Belgium coach: “We have to stop being so overwhelmingly negative about Hazard”

Belgium coach Roberto Martinez talked to Het Laatste Nieuws newspaper and shared his thoughts about Eden Hazard’s latest injury, which will keep him out for at least another month.

“It has to do with plenty of bad luck, but we have to stop being so overwhelmingly negative. I have the feeling that Eden will be back in order as soon as he recovers from this injury,” said Martinez, who has always had a very good relationship with the attacker.

Even if Martinez wants to be positive about Hazard’s injury, there are no encouraging signs. Hazard has had many muscle injuries since he recovered from the small fracture a year ago and it seems that he just can’t regain his old form.

Real Madrid’s medical staff will surely be patient with Hazard’s recovery given the recent failures, so it will be interesting to see what kind of impact the attacker is able to make later this season.
