The RFEF Fútbol Femenino announced Friday that the organization has set new dates for previously postponed Primera Iberdrola matches. Seven matches were rescheduled by the RFEF.
Real Madrid Femenino will play EDF Logroño on March 3. Kickoff is slated for 16:00 CET (12:00 pm EST) in the Ciudad Real Madrid. The match was postponed due to a false positive COVID-19 test minutes before the match was supposed to kickoff.
The announcement comes after the players of Primera Iberdrola released a coordinated statement demanding that the RFEF develop a more concrete COVID-19 protocol. One of the key points in the statement was that the players wanted ‘to prioritize the postponed matches from the first half of the season, as much as possible.’
