Good start to February!!

Los Blancos started off the month with a win away to Huesca with goals from an unlikely source. Raphael Varane was the hero as Real came from behind to beat Huesca 2-1. It has been more than a year since the defender scored and he had a brace in this game. The game was covered extensively in the immediate reaction, player ratings, 3 answers and 3 questions articles and the managing madrid podcast.

Kroos to miss the next game. Who should slot in?

Toni Kroos is suspended for the next match against Getafe having picked up his 5th yellow card. Casemiro and Modrić are the only two available midfielders. Juan Ignacio G-Ochoa of Marca reported that Zidane may call up Antonio Blanco from Castilla or play Marcelo in midfield. Ramos, Hazard, Valverde, and Rodrygo are 100% out of the game against Getafe while Isco and Vazquez have a chance, albeit a very small one. The injury crisis also worsened with Alvaro Odriozola being substituted by Marcelo on 67 minutes with a muscular issue.

Chelsea would like to re-sign Eden Hazard.

Onda Cero reported that Chelsea, through Marina Granovskaia, meet regularly with Eden Hazard’s entourage and would like him to return to London. However Real Madrid at the moment absolutely refuses to even think about selling him.

Spanish outlet Defensa Central also jumped on the story stating that Chelsea would be willing to pay no more than $60 million for the superstar they sold to Real Madrid for $120 million in the summer of 2019. So, half price.

Asllani scored a hattrick in 4 minutes as Las Blancas also win.

Real Madrid Femenino defeated Valencia 3-1 in a wild game that saw proceedings decided in a mere 300 seconds. Om Arvind and Grant Little covered the game in the immediate reaction article and player ratings article respectively.
