Kosovare Asllani & Sofia Jakobsson Called Up By Sweden For Two Friendlies

Both Sofia Jakobsson and Kosovare Asllani have been called up by Sweden Women’s National Team. The team has finished EURO Qualifying in first place. They will take on Austria and Malta in two friendlies.

The match against Austria will be played Friday, 19 Feb at 9:00 am (ET). The Swedes’ match against Malta is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8:30 am (ET).

Asllani has been called up after injuring her nose against Valencia. Jakobsson, who was left out of the squad against Valencia, seems to have recovered from the slight knock. The call-ups suggest that the injuries weren’t too severe and the duo should be back for the friendlies and Las Blancas’ next match on March 3.

The Spanish Women’s National Team will close out EURO Qualifying against Azerbaijan and Poland, respectively. The first match will be held Thursday, Feb. 18 at 11:00 am (ET). Spain will host the second match on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 1:00 pm (ET). The Spanish Women’s National Team squad will be announced Thursday.
