Real Madrid have published their starting lineup for the upcoming match against Atalanta in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16.

REAL MADRID SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: Courtois, Lunin and Altube.

Defenders: E. Militão, Sergio Ramos, R. Varane, Nacho, Marcelo and F. Mendy.

Midfielders: Kroos, Modrić, Valverde and Isco.

Forwards: Benzema, Asensio, Lucas V., Vini Jr., Rodrygo and Hugo Duro.

Los Blancos will be without key midfielder Casemiro, who is suspended after seeing a yellow card on the first leg. Valverde will be expected to start alongside Kroos and Modric, although Zidane could also deploy a 4-4-2 formation including Isco in the aforementioned trio.

Hugo Duro will be the team’s only backup striker, but Madrid will have depth on the wings with Asensio, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Lucas Vazquez all ready to play minutes.

Madrid have a 0-1 lead on aggregate and will only need a draw at home to advance to the Quarterfinals, although Atalanta have been playing quality football lately and will surely force Los Blancos to play with composure.
