Real Madrid host Atalanta in the return leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16, a decisive game which will decide who advances to the Quarterfinals of the European competition.

Los Blancos managed to beat Atalanta 0-1 on the first leg, so their current lead is a strong one considering the value of away goals in the Champions League. Still, Atalanta have been a dangerous offensive side in recent weeks and are capable of scoring as well, so Real Madrid should be very careful, especially without key midfielder Casemiro.

Coach Zidane could decide to use a 4-4-2 formation with Valverde, Kroos, Modric and Isco in the midfield. A 4-3-3 with Valverde replacing Casemiro as the team’s defensive midfielder shouldn’t be out of the question either. Sergio Ramos’ presence after recovering from his injury should be a crucial one for Real Madrid, who need to advance to the next round if they don’t want to consider this season a failure.
