Fede Valverde will be out for two weeks and is highly questionable for Real Madrid’smatch against Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League Quarterfinals, according to a report published from MARCA. The midfielder didn’t train with the rest of the squad this Tuesday and will need to miss at least the next two weeks with this injury, per that same report.
Valverde’s absence would be devastating for Real Madrid as his physicality could definitely be needed against Liverpool. The Uruguayan player should be ready to play in the return leg but will definitely lack some conditioning to play the whole game.
Furthermore, midfielder Toni Kroos is also injured right now. The German player left Germany’s training camp with a groin injury and while he is expected to be ready to face Liverpool, Valverde’s physicality could’ve helped if Kroos doesn’t feel ready to start against such an intense team as Jurgen Klopp’s.
