Real Madrid defender Jesus Vallejo, who is currently playing for Granada on a loan deal, wants to make his return to Madrid next summer and try to stay with Los Blancos, according to a report published on AS this weekend.
Vallejo has completed solid performances this season and has also played close to 2,000 minutes, proving that he can stay healthy. Still, AS’ report mentions that Real Madrid do not consider Vallejo a candidate to stay in the club even if some of their current defenders leave the club, that being the reason why Madrid are paying close attention to players like Alaba, Pau Torres or Kounde.
Vallejo doesn’t want another loan deal so Real Madrid could ultimately decide to sell the player and keep an option to bring him back, just like they did with left-back Sergio Reguilon last summer.
While the Spanish center-back was believed to be a brilliant prospect for Real Madrid, it now seems clear that he might never reach that kind of level, so the club will almost certainly decide to sell him and then buy him back if he reaches the potential he once had.
