Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe are not in the same page. The striker hasn’t replied to PSG’s last offer to extend his contract with the French club and is not in a hurry to make a decision about his future, according to a report published on the prestigious French newspaper L’Equipe.
While PSG have established Mbappe’s contract extension as their main priority, the attacker wants some more time to see if the French club have what it takes to build a competitive project around him.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s interest in the signing of Mbappe has increased after his hat-trick against Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16. It surely won’t be easy for Los Blancos to sign the attacker, given that PSG would ask around €200 million for his transfer this summer while Mbappe himself would demand a €36 million/year contract, according to a report from The Athletic.
One thing is clear, though. If Madrid want Mbappe, they need the attacker to reject every offer he gets to extend his contract with PSG so that the French club don’t have control of the situation.
