Real Madrid attacker Luka Jovic, now currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt on a loan deal, talked to Bild this week, right after playing 90 minutes during Saturday’s match against Stuttgart. While he kicked-off his deal in great form, Jovic has not scored on the last six games he’s played, but he remains optimistic about his chances.

“Failure is not an option for me. It has never been. Pressure is a crucial part of every business, especially in professional football,” said Jovic when asked about his lack of goals in recent matches.

“Right now the most important thing for me is to reach my best form as soon as possible. I’m still not there and I might not be strong enough to play 90 minutes, that’s right. But I’m still trying to change that as soon as possible,” he added.

Jovic is set to return to Real Madrid next summer unless the two clubs decide to extend the current loan deal. The Serbian attacker wanted to remind everyone that he is still under contract for Los Blancos.

“I like challenges, I like to be compared to the best. I know my worth and I know my qualities. I’m still 23 years old, I’m playing in one of the world’s best leagues and I’m still a Real Madrid player,” concluded the attacker.

It will be interesting to see if Jovic can actually regain some confidence and momentum before the end of the season, given that he will be expected to return to Real Madrid as a better player so that he can compete for a spot in the XI.
