Real Madrid have announced that team captain Sergio Ramos has tested positive for Covid-19.

Ramos was sidelined with an injury he picked up during the last FIFA break and was not expected to return to the squad in the next few days, so now he will spend some more time away from the team as he recovers from Covid-19. Raphael Varane also tested positive a week ago and is still not able to return to the team.

Eder Militao and Nacho Fernandez started against Liverpool and Barcelona this past week and it looks like they will have to take care of business for the next couple of games as well, so Zinedine Zidane and his coaching staff will be hoping that they stay healthy and fresh given Madrid’s schedule.
