In an interview with DAZN, Toni Kroos’s brother, Felix Kroos, spoke about Toni’s incredible cold blood during high pressure situations.
Felix says that before the Liverpool game Wednesday night, Toni was completely calm. “20 minutes before facing Liverpool last night, Toni and I were discussing the Osnabrück vs Regensburg game in the German 2nd division,” Felix Kroos said. “He never gets nervous. You can call him 5 minutes before a World Cup final and have a normal chat.”
This is something Kroos has been known for over the years. His reactions on the field are that of a cyborg. He has stated before publicly that he and the players on the field don’t get bothered by high pressure situations. Joachim Low once said: “You can pass him the ball at any time and he’ll find a way to deal with it, even if he’s under pressure. He has great vision and a sense of where he is on the pitch.”
Kroos’s sense of calm under pressure is something that was also highlighted in his recent documentary.
