José Bordalas: “We created more chances”

Getafe head coach Jose Bordalas spoke to the press after his side’s 0 - 0 draw with Real Madrid at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium on Sunday night.

Bordalas praised his team’s performance, one that saw his side create multiple chances.

“Before the game and after, our feeling is that we could have won.” Bordalas said. “The team played a great game, we shot fifteen times on goal, we created more chances and it was not easy. I think we deserved something more I am happy, they have left everything, we had moments of good play, it was daring, I congratulate them, we played a very complete game.“

Bordalas also was asked about the referee’s decisions. Real Madrid were harshly denied a goal by Mariano Diaz for a controversial offside decision.

“I have not seen it,” Bordalas answered. “I am not going to get into controversies. The VAR is there for that and to help. They told me that there had been a penalty for Ángel and Ünal. If it has not been called, it has not been.“
