Real Madrid left-back Marcelo talked to the press right after the end of the game against Cadiz, which ended with a solid 0-3 win for Los Blancos even though they were without key midfielder Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.

“We kicked off the game well, recovering the ball often, which was the plan. That was the main thing but we know that there are no easy games in La Liga. Maybe it didn’t look like a demanding game, but we played really well,” he said.

With the win, Madrid are now leading the table, although Atletico de Madrid have a game at hand today and could be three points ahead of Los Blancos if they win. Marcelo says that Real won’t give up.

“We’re going to fight until the end, Real Madrid never give up, we will fight in each and every game,” he added.

Karim Benzema was once again the man of the match for Los Blancos, scoring a brace and delivering a brilliant assist for Alvaro Odriozola’s goal. Marcelo praised his teammate.

“Karim helps us a lot, he gives us a lot and we have to take advantage of his good form,” said the left-back.

Real Madrid will be facing Chelsea next Tuesday and Marcelo was asked about the crucial matchup in the Semifinals.

“We get there very excited and looking forward to playing, we’re all excited about being in the Semifinals again and we have to enjoy it,” he concluded.
